A visit to Rotterdam

A visit to Rotterdam, the second-largest city in the Netherlands and one of the largest port cities in the world. The location in the photograph lies within the proximity of the Netherlands Architecture Institute (Het Nieuwe Instituut). The concrete structures are lit up with a rainbow of coloured lights and makes for a pleasant environment to visit in the evening.

A visit to the Tietgen Dormitory designed by Lundgaard & Tranberg Architects based at Copenhagen University.

The project became realised thanks to a donation from the Nordea Denmark Fund. The donation made possible the dormitory of the future based on a strong architectural concept. The building houses approximately 400 students and provides social spaces for many more of the university’s students such as the internal circular courtyard…
